Ken Liow

Ken joined the Board in September 2016 and is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Ken is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience. He has advised superannuation funds, endowments, fund managers and served on advisory committees of investment consultants. Ken was previously Chief Investment Officer of Domestic Equities at BlackRock Australia, where he spent 13 years. Whilst at BlackRock, Ken led the development of a quantitative equities business with over $4 billion in assets. Prior to joining BlackRock in 1998, Ken was Head of Investment Research at Mercer. Since 2011, Ken has directed his focus to non-executive challenges. His present associations include: Independent Investment Advisor to Maritime Super, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of Realm Investment House, Member of the Advisory Investment Committee of Whitehelm Capital’s Portfolio of Risk Group, External Advisor to RealIndex Investments and Member of the Investment Committee of Foundation for Young Australians Endowment. His previous associations include the Catholic Superannuation Fund, Uniting Church Australia Beneficiary Fund and Wealth Management Sub-Committee for the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

Ken received a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Melbourne and is a qualified actuary. He has also a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australiasia and has a Graduate Diploma of International Relations from Deakin University.
