Fall Prevention, Spinal Cord Protection

At the Spinal Research Institute, we raise awareness of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), its causes and prevention, its impact on quality of life, and of course the research that is being undertaken to improve health and social outcomes for people with SCI. Falls are the leading cause of SCI in Australians over 65. Falls can occur anywhere to anyone, however for those living with SCI, the consequences of falls, even less serious ones, can be much greater.

SRI Ambassador and Paralympian, Nick Morris OAM was interviewed about fall prevention by House of Wellness radio. Listen here.
