Setting our strategic direction for the years ahead

A message from our Chair, Fi Slaven:

It’s been a busy few months since I stepped into the role of Chair at the SRI and I am proud to present the organisation’s new Strategic Plan 2020-2022.

Underpinning all that we do at the SRI is a strategic plan that supports our mission to improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury. Our new plan sets out our goals and objectives for the next three years 2020-2022 and is based on five key strategic priorities:

Research Collaboration: Building collaboration and promoting a culture of trust in spinal cord injury research and clinical trials.
Consumer Engagement: Building capacity for consumer engagement with researchers and the research process.
Reputation & Relationships: Establishing our reputation as a national organisation and continuing to develop international relationships.
Research Translation: Identifying opportunities to facilitate research translation and dissemination, aligned to consumer research priorities.
Organisational Sustainability: Ensuring that the SRI is a financially sustainable and accountable organisation.

The years ahead are set to be an exciting time for the SRI and full of growth, particularly as we embark on our Consumer Engagement Program.
