Lecture and Lunch

For the fourth year running, we hosted our Lecture and Lunch event, which gives us an opportunity to share information about our latest projects and to connect with some of our supporters.

This year we were honoured to have Ms Angie Dickschen, Chairman, IOOF Foundation host the event. The IOOF Foundation are great supporters of the SRI and Angie spoke passionately about our shared beliefs and values. In particular–that through research–the lives of people with spinal cord injuries will be greatly improved.

The lecture was presented by Prof. Richard Sinnott, eResearch Melbourne University, who together with his team are developing the Spinal Cord Research Hub (SCoRH). Richard has extensive experience developing online collaboration platforms, having led national and international projects, with specific focus on those research domains requiring finer-grained access control (security). At the event he shared his insights into collaboration portal development and we look forward to more SCoRH updates from Richard.

We thank all our guests for their support and commitment to the SRI.
